My 2020 TV has HDMI connections for a streaming box and Blu-Ray player so I didn't need a receiver. However I cannot listen to over-the-air radio because I don't have a receiver. Overall, the Fives sound rich, precisely detailed, with a slightly bright sound profile. If you want the best Sonos setup for living room, you can use a Playbase and a sub. The Playbase has six midrange, three tweeters and one woofer. You can’t place TVs that weigh under 5lb on it as well. The speaker only connects to Wi-Fi and will use optical connection for TV instead of HDMI. Pair it with the soundbar and enjoy the lower frequencies of any content.
Lastly even if you can go for surround speakers due to budget or space limitation, you can pair a bar with a sub. If you go with Sonos Arc, you will easily get a 5.0.2 soundbar. If you want DTS, buy a Denon or Onkyo system and run the wires. I can not answer your question - I have not gotten the entire system working yet - only the sound bar. The network must not contain enterprise access points that have been configured to require certificates or other forms of enterprise authentication.
